There’s a stigma of weakness around asking for help.
You can fear that people might perceive you as weak.
This is a barrier that you need to break ASAP.
Asking for help lets you show that you are comfortable knowing your own limitations.
In addition, asking for help strengthens the connection between you and the person who did you the favor.

How to be kinder to yourself by practicing self-compassion
This is an extensive (but worthy!) read.
Here are my key takeaways,
Self-criticism doesn’t increase your sense of control, but rather tricks your brain into feeling in control.
Self-compassion is an ally to yourself. The lesser known route, but definitely better.
Self-compassion involves three closely connected components: self-kindness, common humanity, and mindfulness.
Learn to identify self-criticism. The blog goes through examples for these.
To understand your needs, you must first have some sense of what you value most in life.
Have a good week, and remember to take it easy! 🤍
Thanks for reading this week’s issue of 1.1.1. If you enjoyed what you read, I’d really appreciate it if you could forward it to a friend, family member, or colleague who you think might like it too.
Or, if you'd like to share it on one of your social networks, that’s always great as well.
Until next week,
